How it works
If you've used another private e-prescription system in the UK, the process should be familiar.
When a patient presents their Nexus Prescription, you can enter their token.
If the information is valid, you will get access to their electronic prescription.
You should now see the requested items alongside the prescription and patient record.
Before giving the items to the patient, ensure you complete the following:
Once you have completed this, the token cannot be used again to dispense this fill request.
Optional step: Print the dispensing record
Nexus Prescriptions are regulatory compliant under Section 219 of The Human Medicines Regulations 2012 and use Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES).
You are still required to perform checks as you would with any other prescriptions prior to dispensing.
